Real-time Prognostics, Diagnostics and Failure Mode Computation and Control for Complex Electrical Power Systems and Actuators 2009 – 2010

I was lucky to have this fascinating project funded by the United States Air Force European Office of Aeronautical Research and Development as a personal research grant in 2009. One of the activities looked at trying to make the F16 even more ‘flyable’, targeted at reducing pilot workload. One output was a paper for the IMechE which was awarded the Charles Sharpe Beecher Prize for aerospace.
